Introduction
AgentPCB is an open infrastructure layer for AI hardware agents. It gives an agent the tools, rules, and verified circuit knowledge needed to work on PCB designs without hiding engineering decisions behind a black box.
CURRENT FOCUS
The first reference platform is an ESP32-S3 development board in KiCad. Its purpose is to make the entire path from requirements to fabrication auditable.
The model
| Layer | Responsibility | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Tools | Read and change EDA projects | Structured project data and patches |
| Rules | Express design constraints | Explainable checks and findings |
| Verified Blocks | Package proven circuits | Reusable blocks with evidence |

└──────────────────── evidence & feedback ───────────┘What AgentPCB is not
- It is not a replacement for KiCad or an electrical engineer.
- It does not call a design “verified” without declaring the evidence.
- It does not hide generated changes; the native project remains the source of truth.
Start here
- Read the KiCad integration.
- Review the ESP32-S3 rules.
